Allison Barta told reporter Justin Glawe the object was shaped like a disc and was translucent.
She and her friend Neil Peterson were snapping photos of pelicans outside her rural home less than two weeks ago when she saw the saucer-shaped object flying above them.
"For the moment, we were pretty dumbfounded... The two of us are watching it zoom across the sky, and I'm trying to get another picture of it, but I couldn't catch it," she told Glawe.
Barta said the object looked like it was flying at an unbelievably fast speed.
The educator, who teaches at the Bug O Nay Ge Shig School in Bena, said she was "thrilled" she saw the UFO, and many people have shown interest in what she captured with her camera, according to the Bemidji Pioneer.
She did note that some people have "just walked away and don't want to see it," but those individuals have "been very few."
Barta also stated she is not saying the object was an alien aircraft, but is sure "it's... not a lens flare, cause we saw it with the naked eye."
She is sharing the photo because she believes "We all live on this Earth and should look out for each other." - EXAMINER.
