Tom DeLonge co-founded the pop punk band Blink-182 in 1992, left in 2005 and - except for a reunion in 2009 - has been on "indefinite hiatus" from the group. He's had a lifelong interest in UFOs and aliens, wrote the song "Aliens Exist" for the Blink-182 album "Enema of the State" and wrote the children's book "The Lonely Astronaut on Christmas Eve." In 2014, he and his wife followed a UFO in San Diego for 30 minutes.
In a recent interview in Paper, DeLonge goes into depth about his experiences and beliefs and why he thinks he's in danger. He talks about an encounter he had while camping at Area 51 near a secret base called China Lake.
My whole body felt like it had static electricity, and I open my eyes and the fire is still going, and there's a conversation going on outside the tent. It sounded like there were about 20 people there, talking... I can't make out what they're saying. But they're working on something.
DeLonge says he wanted to investigate but his body was frozen, as was another camper who also heard the voices. Why was he camping at Area 51?
You have to understand, I've been involved in this for a long time. I have sources from the government. I've had my phone tapped... Years ago, there was somebody who was gathering 150 hours of top secret testimony specifically for Congressional hearings on government projects and the US secret space program... I had it hidden in my house for a period of time... At that time a lot of weird stuff started happening... the person I was dealing with was being awoken in the middle of the night with clicking and buzzing noises and falling on the ground vomiting, every morning at 4 a.m. I know now that those are artifacts from mind-control experiments... I got caught in the middle of it...
