The Titanic sank on her maiden voyage with the loss of 1,503 lives. When salvage experts first located the wreck eight years ago they filmed exteriors but agreed not to breach the interior out of respect for the hundreds who died trapped inside. Cameron told the Hollywood Reporter "To see it on the ocean floor is quite awesome. You will see inside the Titanic, the furniture and the panelling - it's all still there, although people speculated it wouldn't be."His film, due to be released late next year or early 1997, is expected to be one of the most expensive ever shot. The director describes it as "an epic romance and a four-hankie, very emotional script."He said: "The Titanic is a symbol for human greed and arrogance and dependence on technology. It's also a symbol for the end of an age of innocence."But salvage operator George Tulloch, whose company own the rights to the Titanic, condemned Camerons intrusion. From his New York office he said: "This is very distressing. The ship contains the remains of many passengers and is a historical site and I object to this.""0415hrs Sunday 8th October 1995, Shenstone area, Walsall, West Midlands.Strange lights reported in the sky. Air Traffic Control at Birminghamairport informed. Known area for microlight aircraft. ATC felt that itwas highly unlikely that microlights would be flying at this time of dayand in darkness. Night sky very clear. Possible that aircraft lightscould be seen a long way off. No aircraft activity seen on radar in theShenstone area."From: The Mail on Sunday newspaper. Dated: Sunday Oct 8th, 1995By Jupitor! Astronomer finds a sister of the Sun.Astronomers believe they have finally found a star with an orbitingplanetary system - just like our Sun.Scientists have long been searching for confirmation that planets existaround other stars as possible sites on which extraterrestrial lifecould exist. Now Michael Mayor, from the Geneva observatory, has told colleagues inFlorence that he has found an object roughly the size of Jupiterorbiting close to a star called 51 Pegasus.Initial evidence suggests that it is indeed a planet. If it is, scientistssay there could be other, smaller planets orbiting with it - possiblysimilar to Earth.Although it is 42 lights years away, 51 Pegasus is visible to the nakedeye and is in the same galaxy as the Sun - the Milky Way.The 'planet' takes just four days to orbit 51 Pegasus, against Earth's365-day solar orbit, and has a surface temperature of 1,000C, Mayor says. Its presence was deduced by observing irregularities in the star'smovements, which fit precisely the gravitational effect a large, orbiting body would have on a star.">From the 'Hinkley Herald' UK newspaper. Dated: Thursday October 5th, 1995A UFO has been sighted in Stoney Stanton, Coventry.James Bedwell, 57, and his family, say that they spotted the incredible saucer shaped craft from their home in Alexander Avenue, Earl Shilton.Mr Bedwell said: "We first caught a glimpse of it at 9.15pm on Wednesday. It was saucer shaped and had blue and red lights beaming down from it. It was quite beautiful. It seemed crystal like and strangely hollow. It was patterned rather like a snowflake. It was about five miles away, towards Stoney Stanton."We were all gobsmacked. We thought at first that it was a Police helicopter or a plane, but it moved much to fast. It raced off at terrific speed.""We glimpsed it through binoculars but couldn't make any more details out.""My son Kevin, 16, went to his room and shouted that it had returned. This time, the light it was beaming was white. It soon turned and went as before. In all, the encounter lasted about half an hour."Mr Bedwell says that he has always believed that there might be other life forms in the galaxy. He said: "It is such a huge expanse, it would be more perculiar if there was only us. However, I hadn't bargained for seeing anything like this. I always thought there might be something up there in all that vastness."PC Stuart Dickson of Hinckley Police confirmed that the police helicopter had not been in the area.He said: "I was on duty until 10pm and there were no call outs in that region."However, villagers in nearby Croft said that a police helicopter had been out their way that night and perhaps it was the object sighted.Mr Bedwell now intends to speak to the UFO Society in Hinckley and ask them to investigate his case."Dave.UNITED KINGDOM UFO MAILING LISTufo@holodeck.demon.co.ukTry the groups World Wide Web pages at:http://metro.turnpike.net/~David/ukufoml.htmlMirrored site at:http://uptown.turnpike.net/~David/ukufoml.html
