UFO Lincoln, Nebraska
During a live weather broadcast on KLKN TV channel 8 news Meteorologist Sean McMullen draws the audiences attention to a UFO that is visible in the view of the HD Towercam they are using as a backdrop during the weather broadcast. The UFO is very far off in the distance and Sean is very animate on showing us how far off the ground the UFO is. As Sean directs the cameraman to zoom in on the UFO you can see a brightly lit UFO in the sky that sort of looks like a vortex of some sort to me. Sean describes the UFO as a half diamond shape and flickering as it changes multiple colors. Sean also says that the UFO looks like a weather balloon but quickly brings up the point that they do not put strobe lights in them, so I think we can rule that out.

At the end of the video Sean gives his opinion about the UFO and thinks that whatever it is, it's probably in space and the light is refracting through the dome that covers the tower cam. I am not sure I buy that being on how far the UFO is away.
The UFO seemed to be visible for quite some time and this next video shows you the next weather segment that morning and they are still discussing the light anomaly. Sean mentions in this clip that the UFO appears to have tethers hanging from it at times. He goes on to say that it may be lightning, but I never seen lightning that consistent in the exact same location for such a long period of time. This video also has some footage redundant to the first video we showed you.

This last video aired on September 13, 2013 and is a follow up story on the UFO, and they do an investigative report on the event.. Sean says in this segment that the UFO was visible for about 45 minutes and after the sun cam up that morning it was not longer visible. The story goes on to tell us that a channel 8 viewer also captured similar footage of the UFO. Another sighting of a triangular shaped UFO was reported a couple hours earlier in Lees Summit Missouri just outside Kansas City. The FAA says that no suspicious activity was reported on that day.
Towards the end of this last video the reporter says that she had talked to UNL Physics Professor Timothy Gay and he says that " he can guarantee the non-existence of extraterrestrials, and suspects the Towercam footage was a government aircraft of some sort, or perhaps an odd lens reflection. I am not sure how he can guarantee the non-existences of extraterrestrials, but after a statement like that I am going to say that he is not a very credible person to talk to about the subject of UFO.
