UFO SIGHTING IN CONWAY, ARKANSAS ON JULY 4TH 2013 - WHILE WATCHING FIREWORKS ON THE LAKE MY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW POINTED OUT A STATIONARY RED LIGHT IN THE SKY.
While watching fireworks on the lake my daughter-in-law pointed out a stationary red light in the sky. At first sight I responded that it was more than likely a light from a tower but it was a bit peculiar since I had not seen it before. We watched it for about 20 minutes. While we watched, the light appeared to very slowly ascend a noticeable distance. The light resembled a stoplight with a slight hourglass shape. It did not make any sudden movements and no noise could be heard due to fireworks and due to it's apparent distance from us. The object suddenly disappeared as if someone had turned out the light. We are located within thirty miles of a military base/camp. We were not scared...only curious. We have had multiple friends share their sightings of similar lighted objects in the last few months.

I don't respect the way the organizers always try to imply it's a Press Club event or a United Nations event, but, they're just trying to draw attention to it, without realizing that a bit more honesty up front would go a long way towards maintaining the intent of these old servicemen.
That said, this is old news. Way back in 1977 it was common knowledge that UFOs had shut down missile silos. The people this info came from may not have been known by name and rank and serial number as they are now, but, the info was out.

I hope"! Well, later on that night at about 7:45 pm my husband and I were walking on the beach and it was a clear, starlit night. We walked for about 45 minutes, observing the sky the whole time. I had my flashlight and was flashing it towards a certain "stars "that look different in color or brilliance and I always do a Morse code thing while I'm aiming the flashlight towards these "stars"and I'll say, "Come on, give us a show"! I repeat this every time I do the Morse code thing. My husband was getting cold and wanted to go home to watch the Juno Awards, so we started to make our way back home. We were still observing the sky when suddenly I noticed,{in the sky, just above an island in the bay, not far away} a very bright orange "star" I said to my husband, "Wow, did you see that"? He said, "What"? but was looking in another direction and missed it. It appeared like a star except it got bigger and much brighter and glowed orange, then suddenly shrunk back to a tiny dot and disappeared. This lasted no more than 2 or 3 seconds.He was sorry that he missed it, so we left the beach area and walked onto the grassy area when suddenly, we both noticed a very bright and sparkly "star". It was coming from the direction of the island and was low in the sky and moving very, very slowly from west to east in front of us. It had a golden or yellow hue. So I started to do the Morse code thing the whole time we observed it and kept flashing towards it, when after about 3 or 4 minutes it suddenly stopped. WOW! We just stood there watching it and I said to my husband, I'm not leaving yet, I want to see what it's going to do next. It just hovered there, so after about 15 minutes we slowly walked towards our house and kept observing it to see if it was going to move again, but it stayed there hovering for the next 3 hours. It was awesome! It was low enough in the sky that when it was moving over the bay we could see the stars it passed behind it. There was absolutely no sound coming from this "star". I had no idea that when I signed off by typing, "To be continued, I hope"! that we would have another sighting on the same day. Hey, my name is (name removed) I live in Duncan, British Columbia on Vancouver Island. I witnessed something in the sky last night around the time of 7:30 p.m. I want to say.
I didn't think to record the time, but I'm sure it was around then. I looked up to the sky, facing an area to the south to see what was a triangular shape with very brilliant colors, mostly green, but saw other orange and red.
It looked to me like a translucent object, like a crystal almost, how the light would go along the edges then go all through it. I sat and watched for 5 minutes then it sort of just slowly faded off.
I didn't see it move around too much, or even do any funky maneuvers. It just sort of sat there, but at the same time it was very obvious that it was not something that I have ever seen up there.
I would enjoy hearing back if any other witnesses have seen this on the night of Saturday, February 16, 2013. Let me know if you need any more information.
