I was setting up my telescope for observation and noticed an orange light moving East. it made a right angle turn and disappeared quickly to the south. it was followed by a second object on the same path and with same behavior. A third followed. speed was high subsonic with no noise. heavy air traffic to BTV at that time. The objects initial path of travel was 45 degrees right of approzch pattern. altitude was difficult to judge. No sound. speed was at least high subsonic. observer is former military pilot and civilian pilot for over 30 Years. Amateur astronomer for 40 years. I have never seen anything like this and have not come up with plausible explanation. Attempted to video with cellphone but no success.
