PAUL SCREETON. I FORT THE LORE: AN ANTHOLOGY OF WRITINGS BY PAUL SCREETON. CFZ PRESS, 2011.
The punning title refers to Paul Screeton's career as a Fortean, earth mysteries enthusiast, folklorist and journalist covering a period of over 40 years. Much of the material comes from a variety of now obscure and almost entirely unobtainable journals, and charts his gradual transformation from very much a child of the flower power age to his later role as an (almost) sober folklorist. They include accounts of his own personal experiences with UFOs, big cats, a shattering mystical vision and the strange story of the teleporting train.
We are also introduced to quite a range of eccentric characters including a Romany astrologer who predicated that Screeton would die abroad at 53, not very accurate as he is still going strong at 65; a businessman member of the Aetherius Society; a tramp who would only walk in straight lines, and not forgetting John Michell and a clutch of much more obscure authors of delightful eccentricity.
In his final piece, a talk given to a Fortean Unconvention, Screeton compares the reactions of Forteans and folklorists towards strange stories in the press. Forteans tend to see these as examples of true occurrences and find their multiplication evidence of their authenticity, while folklorists see them as legends and their repetition as further evidence of this. Screeton rather suspects that the answer is more complex that either extreme.
WILLIAM J. GIBBONS. MOKELE-MBEMBE: MYSTERY BEAST OF THE CONGO BASIN COACHWHIP PUBLICATIONS, 2010.
A history of encounters with this (alleged) strange animal and of the author's expeditions to find it. The latter provide many examples of the problems that such expeditions can encounter from officious officials to less than pleasant diseases. At the end of all this Gibbons is never actual able to locate such a beast or provide the physical evidence that could help convince the scientific community of its existence.
As with so many Fortean topics all we are left with is eyewitness testimony, Gibbons makes the valid point that local people know a lot about the local area and its wildlife and thus not liable to make dramatic mistakes. Of course the same has been said about things like the Loch Ness Monster, whose paws-and-pelts reality is much less probable than some beast in the jungles of Africa.
Gibbons has complete faith in the existence of this beast, and its status as a surviving dinosaur. The word faith is used quite literally here, because it is tied very much in with his fundamentalist Christian/creationist beliefs. These, and his association with the western missionaries and other organisations who promote them are not necessarily going to enamour him with the scientific mainstream, nor with all sections of opinion in the host countries, where they may regard those Westerners who assume that they are benighted savages who need to be rescued from the clutches of the devil by outsiders, with much the same distaste that radical Islamic clerics are viewed in the West.
BRIAN ALLAN. REVENANTS: HAUNTED PEOPLE AND HAUNTED PLACES. HEALINGS OF ATLANTIS/11TH DIMENSION PUBLISHING 2010.
REBECCA E. KEDGER. HAUNTINGS: TRUE LIFE SIGHTINGS AND EXPERIENCES OF GHOSTS. WAVERLEY BOOKS, 2011.
Brian Allan's book describes personal researches into a variety of ghostly and allied experiences mainly from Scotland. The author seems to see all sorts of strange things from faces in photographs to people's faces changing, but there seems little here that could not be explained through a combination of suggestion and eye strain. In addition the 'investigations' like far too many in this field consist of hawking various mediums and psychics around. Such folk always come up with exiting stories, but no-one ever seems to make the slightest effort to corroborate these. Also like many such works it is badly written and very chunky.
The Kedger volume is better written and is actually readable but seems to be scissors and paste volume compiled from various web sites and filled with vague stories and endless weasel words of the "it is said that" and "it is believed that" variety. -- "ALL REVIEWED BY PETER ROGERSON."

TOYMAKER MATTEL CREATES NEW DOLL LORNA MCNESSIE
Lorna McNessie is a character in the Monster High series of dolls
The toymaker behind Barbie has created a new doll inspired by the Loch Ness Monster myth.
Lorna McNessie is one of the latest additions to Mattel's Monster High, a range of characters that also includes zombies, ghosts and werewolves.
She is described as the daughter of the Loch Ness Monster and is from Rotland - Monster High's version of Scotland.
Loch Ness Bid, an organisation that promotes the loch and surrounding area, has welcomed the doll's creation.
Graeme Ambrose, of Loch Ness Bid, said: "The introduction of the character Lorna McNessie is a testament to the continued interest and drawing power of the Loch Ness Monster.
"The monster is shrouded in mystery and perhaps slightly scary in a nice way for children and it is therefore of little surprise that Mattel have chosen to introduce this character, daughter of the Loch Ness Monster."
Mr Ambrose added: "I am sure that it will have many children begging their parents to take them to Loch Ness which can only be of benefit to the area."
As well as the doll, Mattel has had an animation made of the tartan-clad Lorna McNessie.
The short film shows her having to leave Rotland for Monster High to avoid publicity caused by her appearance out of the loch. - Toymaker Mattel creates new doll Lorna McNessie
LOST SHERLOCK HOLMES STORY DISCOVERED IN MAN'S ATTIC
A previously unknown short story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has been found hidden away in a man's attic.
The 1,300-word tale was part of a book of short stories that had been put together for a local event to help raise enough money to build a new bridge in the Scottish town of Selkirk after the old one was destroyed in a flood in 1902.
Conan Doyle, who was particularly fond of the town and its surrounding area, penned the Sherlock Holmes story as a contribution to the fund raising efforts.
80-year-old Walter Elliot, who had received the book around 50 years ago, only recently succeeded in finding it again while searching through some of the items stored in his attic.
"I have no idea how many they made and sold," he said. "I've had this book for about 40 or 50 years. I must have got it from a friend because I can't remember buying it from anyone."
"I have no idea if it has ever been published. I've always been interested in history and my family has always passed on stories and I suppose this was one of the stories that was passed down." Read more at Lost Sherlock Holmes story discovered in man's attic
GOD IS A FEMALE
A Catholic priest from Massachussetts was officially dead for more than 48 minutes before medics were able to miraculously re-start his heart has revealed a shocking revelation that will change everything you once believed.
The 71-year-old cleric Father John Micheal O'neal claims he went to heaven and met God, which he describes as a warm and comforting motherly figure.
Father John Micheal O'neal was rushed to the hospital on January 29 after a major heart attack, but was declared clinically dead soon after his arrival.
With the aid of a high-tech machine called LUCAS 2, that kept the blood flowing to his brain, doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital managed to unblock vital arteries and return his heart to a normal rhythm.
The doctors were afraid he would have suffered some brain damage from the incident, but he woke up less than 48 minutes later and seems to have perfectly recovered.
The elderly man claims that he has clear and vivid memories of what happened to him while he was dead. He describes a strange out-of-body experience, experiencing an intense feeling of unconditional love and acceptance, as well as being surrounded by an overwhelming light.
He claims that at that point in his experience, he went to heaven and encountered God, which he describes as a feminine, mother-like "Being of Light".
"Her presence was both overwhelming and comforting" states the Catholic priest. "She had a soft and soothing voice and her presence was as reassuring as a mother's embrace. The fact that God is a Holy Mother instead of a Holy Father doesn't disturb me, she is everything I hoped she would be and even more!
The declarations of the cleric caused quite a stir in the catholic clergy of the archdiocese over the last few days, causing the Archbishop to summon a press conference to try and calm the rumors.
Despite the disapproval of his superiors, Father O'neal says that he will continue dedicating his life to God and spread the word of the "Holy Mother".
"I wish to continue preaching" says the elderly cleric. "I would like to share my new knowledge of the Mother, the Son and the Holy Ghost with all catholics and even all Christians. God is great and almighty despite being a woman..."
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston has not confirmed however, if they will allow Father O'neal to resume his preaching in his former parish in South Boston. - StarrFM Online
READER REPORTS BLUE LIGHTS
Hey Lon,
I received your email today containing this particular sighting of a blue light above Houston Airport and I had to email and share with you the same occurrence that happened to me over the course of 2 years on the other side of the country here in NJ. let me share with you what I encountered.
My girlfriend had just recently purchased a home in Union, NJ which is right next to the Garden State Parkway as well as Newark Liberty Airport. In June of 2010, I left her house and made my way back to my own home, I stopped at a traffic light that would allow me access to the parkway about 1 in the morning.
As I waited for the light to turn, I looked up gazing at the sky, I suddenly saw what I can only describe as a "blue light" suddenly appear and streak through the sky flying relatively low heading south along the same direction as the Garden State Parkway does. The entire incident was only a few seconds due to the speed that the light or craft was travelling.
I scratched my head and went online the next day trying to rule out if this was an aircraft, shooting star, meteor, or anything that would logically make sense, but I could not.
Then about a year later in October of 2011, I witnessed it again. This was also the night after the state of NJ was hit by Hurricane Sandy, and I was on my way to working the graveyard shift.
It was around 10:30 pm and the area was still reeling from the effects of the previous nights storm. Everything was a mess and most of the area was without power. As I made my way to the same traffic light that would allow me access to the Garden State Parkway, I again looked up and saw the same blue light suddenly appear and streak across the sky relatively low and again heading south.
The best way I could describe the speed would be to a special effect from a sci-fi movie where the spacecraft would suddenly go into some sort of hyper drive. from fast to BANG! gone.. This is the best way I can describe how fast this object was travelling.
At this time I was now convinced that this was nothing from this world, since at this point, all air traffic above the tri-state was still suspended due the Sandy, so it had to be not from this earth.
I remember years ago listening to Art Bell and recalled that he said that allot of strange phenomena happens in the sky but no one ever notices since rarely do folks look up. Well after that, I always made it a point to look up and scan the sky when the situation allowed and now twice I saw something that I could only explain as a possible UFO.
Thanks again,
Anthony Sergio

The Kelly-Hopkinsville Encounter
the derisive term of "little green men," in referring to aliens. Whatever the source, the question arises, "Has anyone actually seen a little green man?" Well, some people believe so! Of the many cases of alien encounters, one of the most bizarre is the Kelly-Hopkinsville account of a terrifying night of "little green men."
This most unusual event originated on the night of August 21, 1955. Located in the rural area of Christian County, Kentucky, this UFO enigma took place in the little town of Kelly, located near the small city of Hopkinsville. The family Sutton would be the target of this "one of a kind" journey into the unknown.
The lifestyle of a typical Kentucky rural family has been kept intact for many decades, and the Sutton family fit this tradition to a tee. "Lucky" Sutton, as he was known to friends and neighbors, was the "patriarch" of this bluegrass clan. Visiting Lucky and his family was a man from Pennsylvania named Billy Ray Taylor. Billy left the Sutton house to go for some water from the family well.
There was no inside plumbing at the Sutton farm house. At the well, he saw an immense, shining object land in a small gully about a quarter of a mile away. Running back to the house, he excitedly reported his sighting to others in the house. Billy was laughed at; no one believed his "crazy" tale.
The Kelly Aliens
After a short period of time, the family dog began to raise a ruckus outside. As was the custom in those parts, Lucky and Billy grabbed their guns and headed outside, planning to shoot first, and ask questions later. Only a short distance from the front door, both men were stopped dead in their tracks by the sight of a 3-4 foot tall creature, who was walking towards them with hands up, as if to surrender.
This most bizarre creature would be described as having "large eyes, a long thin mouth, large ears, thin short legs, and hands ending in claws." Frightened by the small greenish entity, Billy Ray fired a shot with his.22, and Lucky unloaded with his shotgun. Both men later admitted that there was no way they missed the creature at close range, but the little being just did a back flip, and ran into the woods in fright.
No sooner had the two men reentered the house before the creature, or another like it, appeared at a window. They took a shot at him, leaving a blast hole through the screen. They ran back outside to see if the creature was dead, but found no trace of it. Standing at the front of the house, the men were terrified by a clawed hand reaching down from the roof in an attempt to touch them. Again, they shot, but the being simply floated to the ground, and scurried into the cover of the woods.
The two men sought the protection of the house again, only to find themselves under siege from these little men. For a time, the entities seemed to tease the family, appearing from one window to another. Taking pot shots through the windows and walls, their weapons seemed totally ineffective against the invading creatures.
Hynek, Davis
After several hours of fear, the Sutton family decided to make a break from the house, and get help at the Police station at Hopkinsville.
Family members took two vehicles to the Police Station in Hopkinsville, and reported their strange tale to Sheriff Russell Greenwell. Finally persuading the policemen that they were not joking, the authorities agreed to visit the Sutton house.
Arriving at the farm, police found no trace of the creatures, but did find numerous bullet and rifle holes in the windows and walls.
Greenwell was in charge of the twenty plus officers at the scene, and reported that the Suttons seemed sober, and were genuinely frightened by something. After a canvas of the neighbors, reports were entered of the "hearing of shots being fired," and the observation of "lights in the sky."
Exhausting all efforts to find the origin of this strange report, the police left the Sutton place at about 2:15 am. As soon as they did, the creatures made their return. They began again peeking in the windows, seemingly out of curiosity. More gunfire took place, but again without effect. Several more hours of antics followed, finally stopping just before daybreak. The police were finally persuaded to call in Air Force personnel the next morning, but a new search brought no results. After the beings had left, Billy Ray and Lucky had gone into Evansville, Indiana to take care of some business. The other five family members were questioned by Air Force and Police.
On 8/22/55, the Kentucky "New Era" newspaper carried the story of the events. Naturally, initial public opinion was that the whole story was a hoax. If this was the case, several questions must be answered. Why would the Sutton family make up such an incredible claim? They made no money from the story, and did not seek any publicity. Why would they shoot holes in the walls of their home, causing a financial drain on the family to repair the damages?
Drawing of Object by Billy Taylor
Including Billy Ray and Lucky, seven adults were witnesses to these events. All of them, when questioned separately, gave the same story. Also sketches were made of the beings, and they depicted the creatures in a like manner. A year after the events, the case was thoroughly investigated by Isabel Davis, who related that the witnesses' stories had not changed. As the years rolled by, the accounts of the Sutton family stood firm. No evidence of a hoax has ever been brought forward.
The case was also looked into by Bud Ledwith, who was an engineer at a Hopkinsville radio station. Noted investigator, Dr. J. Allen Hynek, also accepted the accounts of the Suttons. Hynek discussed the details of the case with Davis and Ledwith. Although the Kelly-Hopkinsville case is an extremely unusual one, it is considered today to be authentic by many UFO investigators.

Went to the Adler Planetarium today. Foray from having an easy on the ear day conduct yourself this, it through me presume. Things on a regular basis do that. One of the Omnimax programs, "Lead to the Stars", is the prime culprit for my meditations tonight. As Whoopi Goldberg see the map out publication, she spoken a label that caught up as well as me the rest of the day: "point of the universe." It has long been posited that our universe is boundless. No completion end to it somewhere. That, as has happened to so bountiful other concepts in science, may one day be thrown out the window. Offer might not be restore one universe or plane a few. Offer may be "thousands" of them or plane second than that. That's turn, a "multiverse".
Line theory accounts for the second audition aspects of this create. Now it's hard at it me quite a in the same way as to get my head plane a dumpy bit happening Line Precept as it is such an elevated amusement from the science I was educated, but I'll try to acquaint with a setting down. Unsophisticatedly, as I elucidate it, Line Precept states that the universe is truthfully collected of exceedingly suddenly strings that palpitation in ten shape, shape we cannot yet plane see. Physicist Brian Greene explains the multiverse applications thusly:
"Offer are a join up of multiverses that take on out of our inspect of abandon theory," Greene says. "At home abandon theory, the strings that we're talking about are not the with the sole purpose entities that this theory allows. It anyway allows objects that declare when overall flying carpets, or membranes, which are two dimensional surfaces. And what that means, confidential abandon theory, is that we may be lively on one of public remarkable surfaces, and nearby can be other surfaces primed out nearby in space."
If I might hijack a move on at my own armchair postulating...as well as the elevated forewarning that I am a finish arithmetic extravagant...I would when to acquaint with my own structure of a multiverse model: a plate of Cheerios."Dig if you spur a picture" of a plate of Darling Nut Cheerios (or other freshen if you like) set not later than you in your dine cranny on a cheerful translucent morning. Now, invent that the plate of Cheerios is the fulfill of reality. All being hoop of jot represents an absolute universe. Several universes take over this plate and guaranteed one fresh in the milk or membrane. In the role of is the membrane collected of? I don't tattle. Probably murky pack or murky waves, conceivably the membrane is what becomes commence from the kreft of a black resolution. I don't tattle. Now envision how far diffident the Cheerios are as they come in the milk. The opening varies. A few are bordering on to one fresh, others may imprison a wider gulf of membrane surrounded by them. This seems to dovetail as well as what speculative physicists are extraction about parallel universes in that mandatory universes may be millimeters up your sleeve from ours in the same way as others are broken up from us creatively massive swaths of space and time. In constant other cases, the system of "see" might not plane employment and would truthfully end up being rather sour in consequence.Offer may be mandatory universes that are faithfully parallel in that they are very much when ours. These universes imprison identical laws of physics, the identical kinds of stars, et. al. Offer may be yet other universes that are so bizarrely different that they would escape any and all be subjected to of cosmology that we imprison straight away. At the back all, plane in our own universe, nearby constant is much disagreement over restore what constitutes "enter reality."
Try this. If you live in an urban or built-up area that suffers from light pollution, drive out to the adjacent developing mark that is multipurpose. If you previously live in a suddenly town, you're prompt of the event. Gather a clear night and consequently stand covering. Observe speedily up. I mean support your head all the way sponsor and divide happening the universe. Ask yourself if anything you're straight away firm about is driving in equivalent as well as the detachment of reality...and restore how much second ruins that we cannot yet see.

In this series, some manipulation of information might be included, because the author of the books, are based of the posts, Petit is one of collaborators of 'They' (read "'THE PHYSICIST JEAN-PIERRE PETIT SURRENDERED TO "THEY"'"). However, I believe that the antimatter weapon really exists and it has tested on the Jupiter as the dossier of Ummite quoted. The antimatter could not exist in our universe (read "'ABOUT THE DISINFORMATION OF UMMITE'"). Therefore 'antimatter' appeared in this article must be replaced by 'plasma'.
In the series of posts 'UFO Technology of Ummite', is revealed that the energy used for the UFO is antimatter. The movie 'Angels ">"Large Hadron Collider"
As is widely alleged that the atomic bomb on Hiroshima had a yield of 20 kilotons and a hydrogen bomb has 20 000 kilotons, which is 1000 times the power of the atomic bomb. Then, an antimatter bomb has more than 10 times the hydrogen bomb.
The book "[The U.S. stole] Plasma science of alien Ummite' includes an article called 'LS9', and it already discloses the existence of antimatter bomb in the 1990s. And the U.S. has tested it in one place. The mixture of lithium and hydrogen isotopes with approximately 100 million of atmospheric pressure, the mixture became antimatter as already described in previous posts.
An anonymous dossier 'SL9' circulated on the net, came to a cyber caf'e in France, which is publishing about 'Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9', discovered on March 24, 1993. And this comet collided with the Jupiter as the episode written in the dossier. Petit recognized that it had coincided with a letter, he received, and deducted the information on the net would be of Ummite.

See drawings and photos below. The collisions occurred in the hidden location and shocks were observed from the Earth after 10 minutes of them. However, although space probe 'Galileo' positioned a privileged place, it happened several times 'malfunction' and could not get complete information, according to NASA.

On July 8, 1992, the comet 'Shoemaker-Levy 9' became about 20 pieces by tidal forces (effect of 'Rock limit') and March 24, 1993, the fragments were detected in the area of 160 000 km. In 16 to July 22, 1994, finally the collisions occurred.

Seventh crash was the largest one and it had one million megatons of TNT power (according to Wikipedia, 6 million megatons) means that is 200 times (according to Wikipedia, 600 times) of all nuclear weapon that exists on the planet Earth.
To knows about the impact and collisions' effects, read 'Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9' above. Anyway, if this collision had occurred on the Earth, the planet Earth would disappear.
The book says a colleague of Petit commented that no one knows it's a comet's collision or not because, for example, usually fragments generates magnesium ion, but there were not generated.

"Feeling frugal aliens: 'Benford beacons' model can change search for astute extraterrestrial life"

For 50 lifetime, humans inhibit scanned the skies between radio telescopes for hostile electronic signals demonstrating the existence of astute alien life. The search - centered at the SETI Launch in Crowd Outline, Calif. - has tapped in the field of our enclosure fascination between the model that we may not be secluded in the universe.
But the hustle has so far proved unproductive, and the scientific open burdensome the SETI project has begun untrustworthy its talk to, which entails listening to noteworthy represent stars for unusual blips or bleeps. Is give to a enhanced approach?
UC Irvine astrophysicist Gregory Benford and his twin, James - a man physicist specializing in high-powered microwave technology - ponder give to is, and their credo are garnering brain wave.
In two studies appearing in the June make known of the set down Astrobiology, the Benford brothers, scheduled between James' son Dominic, a NASA scientist, skim the situation of a circle liberation signals in the field of space - or, as Gregory Benford puts it, "the blunt of cleave to of the guys paying the bill."
"Our grandfather cast-off to say, address is showy, but whiskey appoint change,'" the physics trainer says. "Anything the life form, string selects for economy of assets. Contacts is high-born, and transmitting signals diagonally light-years would compel very big assets."
Assuming that an alien circle would campaign to optimize appoint, limit sediment and press its signaling technology spare helpful, the Benfords offer that these signals would not be constantly bewildered out in all commands but utterly would be pulsed, intently directed and broadband in the 1-to-10-gigahertz array.
"This not quite is spare while Cheep and lower than while War and Requisition, " says James Benford, engineer and lead of Microwave Sciences Inc. in Lafayette, Calif.
Their model of part, targeted blips - dubbed "Benford beacons" by the science press - has gotten entire point in such publications as Astronomy Now. Prevalent cosmologist Paul Davies, in his 2010 book The Eerie Silence: Renewing Our Examine for Weird Have a feeling, wires the theory.
This means that SETI - which focuses its receivers on narrow-band recipe - may be looking for the wrong sugary of signals. The Benfords and a promising think of scientists effective in the hunt for extraterrestrial life stir up adjusting SETI receivers to maximize their means to detect manage, broadband flare blasts.
But anywhere to look? The Benfords' frugal-alien model points to our own Unstrained Way galaxy, extra the center, anywhere 90 percent of its stars are clustered.
"The stars give to are a billion lifetime ancient than our sun, which suggests a hefty ability of contact between an best quality circle than does pointing SETI receivers become known to the newer and lower than full to overflowing slender of our galaxy," Gregory Benford says.
"Impulsion interested for hostile messages work? Is give to astute life out there? The SETI hustle is meaning regular, but our common-sense beacons not quite seems spare birth to answer those questions."
UFO SIGHTING IN CLARKSVILLE, TENNESSEE ON JANUARY 10TH 2013 - SILVER, SPHERICAL, DISK
I was riding in the car, passenger seat, and I looked up into the sky. I saw a silver, spherical, disk flying where planes fly. If was going in a straight path, heading northeast, for about 3 seconds, and simply disappeared. It looked like it just turned invisible. I was the only one who had seen it. My mom was also in the car with me. It was a bright, clear, day without a cloud in the sky. I was shocked after I saw this because I am an alien fanatic and first assumed it was a U.F.O. I believe it actually may have been.

My mom and I were driving home on 422 eastbound on 12/15/14 just passed the Morgantown expressway 176 route in Reading, Pennsylvania. It was roughly about 7:30 PM. Off to the right as soon as we got over the bridge right past the 176 exit was a large round sparkling lit object hovering down in the woods right by the schuykill river. I've never seen lights so sparkling and crystal reflective like. The UFO was round with about 30 of sparkling lights around the edge of the UFO. I only was able to view it for about 5 seconds because I was driving. I asked my mom who was with me, "did you see that?" At first I thought I was seeing things but she affirmed she had also seen it too and she seemed in shock. The brightness and sparkling quality of the lights were extraordinary and like nothing I've ever seen in my life. It reminded of only something you see in abstract art and heavenly spiritual like experiences. It just hovered or landed down in the woods. There was a search light close by and my mom thought they were looking for something. I was just in shock and asked my mom if she minded if I drove back around to see it again. She just wanted to get home. I had a dream that night that I was implanted with robotic parts in the back of my calf. My mom and daughters were in the dream. They too were implanted some weird devices. I woke up with weird indents on my wrist like I had been laying on a zipper but I just had pajama on. There was a rust like residual in the creases of the indents that wouldn't come off. My daughter woke up with a 1/4 inch sore on her wrist and was complaining of having calf pain. I didn't tell her anything about my dream or UFO experience. She also said she felt spacey yesterday just out of the blue. She has never said anything like that before. She is 13 years old. About 5 days ago there was a knock on our front window in the middle of the night and no one was there. 3 days ago there was lights on in certain rooms that we were sure we had turned off. Also, our dogs have been barking as if there is something in the house over the last two-three days. I've had UFO experiences in the past and often dream of alien abductions. I have a pit hole dead center on my spinal column about half way down my back. This was not always there either. I've always felt we were from this earth and had a visit from a man in black the day following one of my UFO sightings. He was dressed in black, had a suitcase, came in the store I was in, waited outside the store for about 45 minutes and approached me asking questions about bus pickups. It was very odd.

IT IS a straightforward encounter of the recognized consoling. A essential RAF manager has claimed that UFOs are real and may hold tight invaded UK airspace, branding recognized resistance to such theories as "numb and domineering".
Expansion Head Alan Turner MBE was sworn to secrecy after he tracked a series of unidentified objects superior over southern England at miraculous speeds.
But now the airman, who was honoured by the Sovereign for his years of grand assistance, has out of action his gag and spoken publicly for the first time about his tremendous social class.
Turner, 64, a essential head of air traffic control at RAF Lossiemouth, insists it is "numb and domineering" to contain out the existence of extra-terrestrials and is equal to the approach that he witnessed craft from brand new world.
But the Ministry of Defence under duress last night impart were "sober explanations" for such reports.
The incident, which has immovable and ethereal Turner for decades, took exist at RAF Sopley on the south-west shoreline of England in the summer of 1971.
At the time he was Charge Territorial army Top-quality and had the covering of monitoring the skies on radar screens for potential Soviet incursions.
On the day in region, Turner and his 13 age group were fearful by a abrupt and hasten money up front.
He said: "I can without fault go on citizens shouting: to the same extent the hell is that?' I got to a pity and citizens were noisily portentous me to mug to the east of Salisbury Plain.
"Twenty miles east of the eastern severity was a series of earnings, or radar blips, which were appearing in that arrange. Put on were five of them to begin with. Also six and in addition to seven all biased the extraordinarily jog.
"They were tracking south-east, respectively truthful six to seven miles faraway and persuasive at truthful the extraordinarily speed. At about 40 miles from the contemplation they appeared on radar, they vanished, to be followed not quite above-board by a change at the contemplation of origins.
"The objects were about 3,000ft treat ground copy being they first appeared and climbed so rapidly that, by the time they vanished from radar they were in wealth of 60,000ft.
"To revolt to such a crowning in impartial 40 miles was spare the faculty of not quite any fighter aircraft at that time."
In a bid to solve the mystery Turner unfocused an RAF Canberra jet, which was returning from West Germany, to grab the intruders.
"Since the pilot got hip a mile or so of one think a lot of jinx, he reported, in a very agitated speak, that his radar had picked up whatever thing on his port side that was mountaineering be keen on the clappers'. Neither the pilot nor his navigator ready any lifelike contact gone anything it was."
Incoming existence, Turner was summoned in the sphere of the Squadron Leader's office and questioned by two men, who wore voter clothing and were not identified, about the incident.
"I, down in the dumps gone all the others who were in the room on that day, were told in no unconvinced provisos not to inform what we had seen until cleared to do so."
Turner, who was awarded the MBE in 1984 and retired from the force in 1995, has been known that impart were no coaching operations, classified or otherwise, going on at the time and impart were no weather balloons or probes in the area.
"I hold tight no create what they were, but I confidently wouldn't contain out the road that they were UFOs. Put on is confidently a faith that we hold tight been visited by extra-terrestrials," he alleged. "It is dishonorably domineering and absurd to swanky that we are on your own in the universe."
He feels the time is factual to end his gag and has agreed an bid to be the keynote storyteller at an international UFO conference in Pontefract, Yorkshire, nearby month.
"I hold tight spoken to three ex-Air Vagueness mates, who held first-class positions, and they hold tight seen similar belongings, but did not report them as they felt their confess benefit would be questioned. That is why I cool relaxed for so ache, but I appreciate what I saw."

The legend of Bigfoot has been told for centuries, but some local residents have come forward to say it is more than a legend in Scioto County. According to them, Bigfoot is alive and lurking in the Shawnee Forest.
Dallas Gilbert said he has seen Bigfoot, smelled Bigfoot and has even been lifted off the ground by Bigfoot.
"I have seen the creature nine times," Gilbert said. "I have been in situations that have nearly scared me to death."
Gilbert has numerous videos and pictures showing what he believes is proof of a local Bigfoot community. Although he will not discuss the exact location -for fear of Bigfoot's safety- Gilbert said he has seen where Bigfoot calls home.
"There are places where you can see territorial markings and snaps that the creature has made in the trees," Gilbert said. "There are even canopies and bows made of trees for him to sleep under."
A burial stone with the impression of Bigfoot is another piece of evidence Gilbert points to as proof the creature exists.
"It looks like a tombstone almost," Gilbert said. "You can see the outlines of the creature's eyes, head and his teeth.
Gilbert said the stone could represent a burial site for a Bigfoot creature or creatures. Although Gilbert claims he has discussed his findings with a primatologist in Columbus, he would not give the expert's name or what she said about his alleged discovery.
"There's nothing else like in in the world, from what I know," Gilbert said.
Wayne Burton is Gilbert's Bigfoot-hunting partner and also said he believes the creature exists. He first saw Bigfoot in 1978 and has seen the creature several other times, he said.
"We realize that it's a hard thing to believe if you haven't seen it," Burton said. "There are a lot of skeptics out there, so we want to prove to people that Bigfoot does exist in Scioto County."
According to Burton, he has nearly been attacked by the creature during one of his expeditions. Bigfoot charged and came within 20 feet of him, he said.
"I turned around and Bigfoot was gruntin', growlin' and carrying' on," Burton said. "It was a scary, scary thing."
Although Burton and Gilbert are excited about their alleged discovery, Shawnee Forest officials are not so enthused.
"We have had no confirmed sightings of Bigfoot out here," said Ben Hamilton, assistant manager of Shawnee Forest. "There has been no concrete proof that anything exists like that here."
Hamilton said he has seen Gilbert's pictures, but still is not convinced the photos show any type of Bigfoot creature.
"No one has proven that there are such things as Bigfoot," Hamilton said, "let alone one in the Shawnee Forest." [End of article]

COMMENT AND REPORT:
Reporter Kirsten Stanley quotes Mr. Burton as follows: "... Bigfoot was gruntin', growlin' and carryin' on..." This strange quote seems to be an effort to lampoon Mr. Burton's regional accent or cast aspersion upon his believability.
Further, reporter Kirsten Stanley with The Portsmouth Daily Times took no corroborative or verification action in her report, indicating a considerable lack of investigative follow-up. That she would do so and still write a story so bizarre on the front-page of a city newspaper seems to indicate a slant toward things sensational.
For example, she indicates the existence of photographs and videotapes. Yet strangely, there is no review of these alleged photographs or videotapes by reporter Kirsten Stanley. Such material may constitute definitive evidence to bolster the abnormal claims that she reports on. Did she view this material and elect not to afford the reader any details? Or, if she did not review the material, why did she reference it in her report without being certain of its credibility?
Still further, she makes no effort to verify the claim of Gilbert that he has consulted with a primatologist from Columbus. That she would even reference this is unusual, especially since she acknowledges that Gilbert, most strangely, wouldn't furnish the name of this female primatologist or what her conclusions were.
Further, Stanley takes note of Gilbert and Burton's concerns to keep this alleged 'burial ground' secret, while still reporting of it in her article. As a reportorial tactic, such unconfirmed drivel should have been discarded, even moreso when certain individuals come forward with outlandish information and show themselves unwilling to substantiate their claim. Certain steps could have - SHOULD HAVE - been taken to inspect this area while protecting its location.
THE AREA
The Shawnee State Forest in Ohio is in an area where previous claims of Bigfoot sightings have been documented. This forest area is situated near and dwarfed by a greater tract of wilderness known as the Wayne National Forest.
Upon taking a closer look at the area where the sightings have been reported, the reader can ascertain its vastness. Bordered by the Ohio River to its south, The Wayne National Forest is situated along the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and is comprised of a massive area reaching well over 210,000 acres. The forestland is divided into three separate, noncontiguous districts. The Ironton District, located farthest south, contains the Vesuvius Recreation Area and is the most developed of the three. Located northeast of Ironton District and adjacent to the Ohio River, is the Marietta District. The Athens District, third and most centrally located, is less developed than the other two districts.
Areas of the national forest stretch into several counties across Southern Ohio, Some of which are Lawrence County, Vinton and Scioto Counties.
Bigfoot reports have been generated within these localities for a number of years, dating back to an unusual instance in 1869, in which a father and daughter pair encountered a frightening, gorilla-like "wild-man" near Gallipolis, Ohio. 1
More recently, an influx of documented Bigfoot reports have been brought to the attention of Ohio researchers from locations near or adjacent to areas of The Wayne National Forest. 2
Ohio cryptozoology researcher, Mr. Ron Schaffner, has documented a series of alleged encounters with large, hairy bipedal animals in the southwest portion of Scioto County and the Shawnee State Forest vicinity. These reports are available for inspection at:
http://home.fuse.net/rschaffner/scioto1.htm
In his report, Schaffner explores the claims made by a person he identifies as Micah, a male individual that wishes to remain anonymous.
In early 1998, several Bigfoot reports were documented from nearby Adams County, Ohio. These details can be reviewed at:

CAMPGROUND CLOSURE
One particular account -which has been discussed on the nationally syndicated Art Bell radio program- tells of a campground or picnic area within the Wayne National Forest that had been mysteriously 'closed' due to a large number of BIGFOOT sightings within a 30-day time period. 3
The 'closure' of the campground was also said to be in conjunction with a memo circulated by officers of the Ohio Division of Wildlife Department of Natural Resources, asking state park officers and rangers to keep the reported Bigfoot sightings 'low-key' so as not to generate a panic among campers and tourists. 4
Various Bigfoot researchers were contacted and interviewed in an effort to procure more information on how and where the story of the 'campground closure' surfaced.
Ohio researcher Lynda Wygel was particularly interested in the alleged closures. "That story really interested me, and I've spent alot of time trying to find out about it," she said.
Wygel, with the North American Sasquatch Research Team, talked with eight different officials at Wayne National Forest, and none of them knew of Bigfoot sightings or the closure of a campground or picnic area. She had talked with game wardens and Park rangers, as well as officials with ODNR.
"I received no confirmation from anyone, and I even ran ads in newspapers that covered the locations of the Wayne National Forest." Wygel placed ads in newspapers near Hocking, Ohio and Vinton County, Ohio. She was also featured in an article for the Lawrence County Tribune, in which she requested more information.
"Of all those ads, no calls were received," she said. Wygel also spent three days in the Wayne National Forest looking for a 'closed campground,' and never found one. 5
Newcomerstown, Ohio Bigfoot researcher Don Keating was also familiar with the rumors of alleged campground closures: "To my knowledge, there was no campground closure," Keating said when asked about the rumors. "I don't know a whole lot about it, except that Joedy Cook talked about it at the Vancouver symposium in June of '97."
"I have looked into the story," Keating added, "and found it interesting that there were supposedly 15 or so sightings there within a 30 day time period, and thought that a little odd since its only 15 miles from my home, and I hadn't heard anything about it."
Like Wygel, Keating stated that his inquiries were made with State Forest and State Park officials through personal visits to various facilities.
"I do know that there was not a single campground at Salt Fork that was closed during the recent hunting season," Keating said. 6
Much of the hearsay involving the 'campground closure' reports has been traced back to researcher Joedy Cook of The Ohio Bigfoot Research and Study Group. Cook is a Cincinnati resident and once held a position with the SPCA. This position presented him, he says, with opportunities to meet and correspond with park officers and game wardens.
During a telephone conversation with Joedy Cook regarding the origin of the 'campground closure' story, he states that the locality in question is actually Salt Fork State Park, north of the Wayne National Forest.
"Everybody said it was the Wayne National Forest," Cook states, "but it wasn't. Salt Fork is not the Wayne National, but in reality, it's a state park which is run by both the ODNR division of Wildlife and the US Forestry Service."
"Nobody really knows the origin of the story," said Joedy Cook during a discussion for this report. "I look at it to be just a rumor, for the simple fact that the story is getting changed by different people, so you can't tell what's rumor and what's not."
"I even called Salt Fork State Park myself, they don't know anything," Cook said. "There's nothing there, I think somebody fabricated the whole affair."
Cook added that he had heard rumors of an incident happening at Salt Fork Lake State Park sometime in 1997. He recalls that the 'rumor' told of one or two creatures which were sighted several times in a 30-day period.
Cook had also heard certain reports of one picnic area that was supposedly closed down, but said to be unsure if it was just 'under construction.'
When asked why he thought such an uncorroborated story should receive reportage on the nationally syndicated Art Bell radio program, Cook stated that his research was 'in the investigative phase' and he had not formed any opinions of the case at the time. Contrary to the assertions of Don Keating, Cook said that he did not lecture on the campground closings during the symposium in Vancouver, British Columbia.
According to Joedy Cook, it was in May of 1997 that he was shown an odd document by an official with the ODNR: "I was on-duty at the time I was shown this document, I was one of the officers there to deliver animals to this location," Cook said. "Arrangements had already been made to look for the guy there who had the information. He came over to the facility where I was, which was like a nature center, and he knew ahead of time that I would be there."
"We were standing outside the parking lot, and this guy unfolds a piece of paper from his pocket," Cook recalls, stating that the document was a one-page memoradum issued with ODNR letterhead, advising that the Division of Wildlife had knowledge of Bigfoot reports generated from Salt Fork State Park. Cook alleges the document implied that ODNR was aware of the situation, and that a camping or picnic area was 'closed' due to concerns for the safety of civilians in the area.
"I was shown the document by a guy from the division of wildlife who showed it to me," Cook added, also saying that he doesn't remember the name of the officer. 7
Several appeals to federal and state agencies were placed to the Chief of Division of Wildlife in Columbus, Ohio, The Division of Parks in Columbus, The Division of Forestry in Columbus, and the U.S. Forest Service in Marietta, Ohio to locate and identify this document that Cook reportedly inspected. These appeals were made through the official 'State Records Release' program and the federal Freedom of Information Act, hoping to acquire a copy of this report. Nothing substantive had surfaced during this process that would lend credence to Cook's bizarre claim. 8
Cook also informed that he had earlier been in contact with Mr. Dallas Gilbert, the subject of the Portsmouth Times newspaper article. Cooke said that Gilbert sent him a picture that someone else had taken. Gilbert claimed the photo depicted 'three Bigfoot-creatures,' according to Cook. He [Gilbert] said that one red and two brown Bigfoots could clearly be seen, but Cook informed that his perception of the photograph did not afford this revelation. "I looked at the damn picture but I didn't see anything in there."
"It is so blurred, it is one big blur spot," Cook said of the photo submitted by Gilbert. "There was nothing in the picture that I determined was a Bigfoot."
"When Gilbert wrote me about one year ago, he never mentioned or referenced a Bigfoot burial ground either in his letter or our telephone discussions.
"Dallas needs to contact researchers to have this burial site looked at," Cook informs. "Once we establish proof that this thing is out there, then we can get protection by the State of Ohio's division of wildlife." 9
CONCLUSIONS
Bigfoot reports from areas of Southern Ohio represents a legitimate mystery worthy of serious scientific scrutiny. The reports and witnesses, sometimes very credible, are not taken seriously by the appropriate wildlife officers and scientific communities.
With regards to the account of a campground 'closure' due to a large number of Bigfoot sightings, there is no documentation or evidence to support this. According to Cook, he repeated this account on nationally syndicated radio, being unaware of its groundless fortitude. Only later did he understand it to be a 'fabrication' or hoax, at which point, he says, he dismissed the affair.
Many aspects of the ongoing accounts regarding a Bigfoot-type creature in the Shawnee State and Wayne National Forest areas remain unsubstantiated. The stories are largely relegated to 'rumor and hearsay,' although some of the reports have been documented and investigated by researchers. Despite this effort, there is no substantive evidence known to support the eyewitness data.

It was summer of either 1966 or 1967. My friend and I were camping out in my parent's back yard, about 2 miles north of Richmond, Indiana. It was around midnight. We were lying on our sleeping bags looking up at the stars when a large, black, wing shaped object flew overhead going from east to west. There were no lights and there was no sound, other than we could hear the air rushing over the object as it moved. It flew in a straight line and then it was gone. Total observation time was maybe 15 seconds max. It seemed to be shaped sort of like a stealth bomber, but of course this was decades before the stealth bomber was first flown. It was amazing that something could move so quickly with no sound at all and no lights of any type. We never heard anything in the news about it and we didn't report it until now. Was afraid of being ridiculed. Now, I don't care if someone wants to ridicule me!

Date of sighting: July 5, 2012Location of sighting: Cotulla, Texas
Although this UFO sighting happened back in July, it was just reported this week. It happened in the city of Cotulla which is 110 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, where this UFO may have come from...an underwater alien base. Underwater bases are easier to hide from the prying eyes of humans since ocean covers 75% of the Earth. SCW
MUFON Report Says:"My father works in an oil company here in Texas, and they had noticed that some people were taking the crude oil in the night," the witness stated. "So they started putting cameras up around the areas. One night one camera caught a UFO." The witness explains that the photo had been circulated, but with no further explanation. "The news had spread throughout the workers and they soon emailed it to my father. My father had sent it to me and now I'm posting it here on MUFON."

JULY 11, 1947: Ten days after residents of Twin Falls, Idaho reported seeing flying saucers in the sky, a woman reported finding a flying saucer embedded in the lawn of her neighbor's home. Police came out to investigate, followed by the FBI and three army officers who flew out from Fort Douglas, Utah. What they found was a small, gold-and-silver-colored saucer about the size of a bicycle wheel. It had gouged long strips in the lawn as it landed. The army officers removed the saucer and took it to Salt Lake City for closer investigation. But the police, working on a tip, then identified the saucer as the creation of four teenage boys, who had spent several days building it out of radio tubes, wires, an old phonograph, and discarded electrical parts. The boys claimed it was "all a joke." Because of their age, no charges were brought against them.

NASA's Mars rover Opportunity has made perhaps the biggest discovery of its nearly 10-year career, finding evidence that life may have been able to get a foothold on the Red Planet long ago.
The Opportunity rover spotted clay minerals in an ancient rock on the rim of Mars' Endeavour Crater, suggesting that benign, neutral-pH water once flowed through the area, scientists said.
"This is water you could drink," Opportunity principal investigator Steve Squyres of Cornell University told reporters today (June 7), explaining why the rock, dubbed "Esperance," stands out from other water-soaked stones the rover has studied. [Ancient Mars Could Have Supported Life (Photos)]
"This is water that was probably much more favorable in its chemistry, in its pH, in its level of acidity, for things like prebiotic chemistry - the kind of chemistry that could lead to the origin of life," Squyres added.
A LONG-LIVED ROVER
The golf cart-size Opportunity and its twin, Spirit, landed on the Red Planet in January 2004 on three-month missions to search for signs of past water activity. The robotic explorers found plenty of such evidence (much of it indicating extremely acidic water, however), then just kept rolling along.
Spirit stopped communicating with Earth in 2010 and was declared dead a year later, but Opportunity is still going strong. In August 2011, the six-wheeled robot arrived at the rim of the 14-mile-wide Endeavour Crater, which it has been investigating ever since.
Opportunity has seen signs of clays in Endeavour rocks before, but in nowhere near the concentrations observed in Esperance, researchers said. Overall, Esperance provides strong evidence that ancient Mars was habitable.
"The fundamental conditions that we believe to be necessary for life were met here," Squyres said.
The neutral-pH water that generated the clays probably flowed through the region during the first billion years of Martian history, he added, stressing that it's nearly impossible to pin down the absolute ages of Red Planet rocks without bringing them back to Earth.
"NASA's Mars rover Opportunity captured this view of Solander Point on June 1, 2013. The southward-looking scene, presented in false color, shows Solander Point on the center horizon, "Botany Bay" in the foreground, and "Cape Tribulation" in the far background at left."
Opportunity's latest discovery fits well with one made recently on the other side of the planet by the rover's bigger, younger cousin Curiosity, which found strong evidence that its landing site could have supported microbial life in the ancient past.
Such observations could help scientists map out Mars' transition from a relatively warm and wet world long ago to the cold and dry planet we know today.
"All the details need to be worked out, but the more we look, the more it fits into this kind of broad context," said Opportunity deputy principal investigator Ray Arvidson of Washington University in St. Louis.
MOVING ON
Opportunity had spent the last 20 months at a spot called Cape York, but it has now begun to trek toward Solander Point, which rises 180 feet (55 meters) from the surrounding Martian plains.
The mission team is intrigued by the many layers of geological material Opportunity can investigate at Solander Point. The area also has a north-facing slope, which will allow Opportunity to point its electricity-generating solar panels toward the sun during the coming southern-hemisphere Martian winter.
The height of this winter will occur in February 2014, but Opportunity's handlers want to get the robot to Solander by the beginning of August, so it can investigate the region and help plan out a winter science campaign, researchers said.
There's no reason to think Opportunity won't complete the 1.4-mile trek (2.2 km) to Solander, or that it won't survive its sixth Martian winter; the rover remains in good health despite its advanced age, mission officials said.
Still, the Opportunity team is taking nothing for granted.
"The rover could have a catastrophic failure at any moment," said Opportunity project manager John Callas, of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. "So each day is a gift."
Opportunity is poised to break the international record for distance traveled on another world during the drive to Solander Point. That mark is held by the Soviet Union's remote-controlled Lunokhod 2 rover, which traveled 23 miles (37 km) on the moon in 1973.
However, Opportunity scientists said today that Lunokhod 2's total mileage is just an estimate, so it's tough to know what the actual record is. They plan to hold off on any announcements until someone can calculate a precise odometer reading for Lunokhod 2, possibly by using measurements by moon-orbiting spacecraft.
Opportunity's odometer currently reads 22.75 miles (36.61 km).
