Strange lights in the night sky over Blue Springs have UFO investigators interested.
Neighbors say in the past two weeks they have seen multi-colored lights in the sky, and the Missouri UFO Network is now conducting its own investigation. The video of these orbs hovering is causing quite the debate in Blue Springs and is the topic of discussion in the quiet suburb.
Robert Kover first noticed it two weeks ago and went down to get a closer look. He was confronted by a neighbor who thought he was spying on women, until he handed her his binoculars.
"I showed her the star that [was] in the sky, just to get somebody else's perspective on it, and they said they had never seen anything like it before," Kover said.
Becky Neely said it was vibrating red, green and blue lights.
"It was like nothing I've ever seen before, but with binoculars we could see it fairly well, and it was off in the distance," Neely said.
Teresa Price saw it twice. The first time was the same night Kover and Neely did, and she noticed it again when she was walking her dogs the following week. However, the second time things were even more bizarre.
"It was up in the sky and then it just dropped and stayed stationary in that lower position," Price said.
Price had seen KCTV5's recent news report on domestic drones that are now being used by local governments and law enforcement agencies, and thought that was what it was.
"It kind of made me think that there is some sort of drone out there. Why is it out at night? I don't know," Price said.
Kover called the KCTV5 Investigative Hotline and posted a sighting on a UFO spotters website. The night of a interview, KCTV5's Dave Jordan spotted similar sightings.
Kover was contacted by Margie Kay with the Missouri UFO Network, who decided to investigate for herself the following night.
Kay interviewed everyone who claimed to have seen the UFOs and then set up telescopes to watch the sightings herself. Neighbors came out hoping to see the activity that captivated the community.
As the sky darkened, one of them appeared. Kay initially dismissed it.
"I am 90 percent sure we are looking at Vega in this instance, and there are some other planets out right now," said Kay.
But she came to a different conclusion after others starting appearing. And after she put in a call to a colleague to take a look at what she thought was Vega, that person described it as pure white.
"That is not what we are seeing. We're seeing colors in this. I see green in this one and in the other I see red, green and blue," Kay said. "I don't think it's a planet at this point. I don't know what it is. It's unidentified."
KCTV5 contacted Blue Springs police, and they have said they haven't received any calls about this. KCTV5 also contacted NORAD, and a spokesman said that he did hear about a similar sighting, but he wasn't sure if it was in Missouri because that division of NORAD monitors the entire Midwest."

In conclusion, Miller made this statement, "that evening, Air Technical Intelligence Center officers from Wright-Patterson AFB arrived and ordered all personnel to turn over any materials relating to the crash."Then, after we had turned it over to them, they said they had already completed the investigation. I was no longer a skeptic. I had been up to that time. Now I wondered why the Government had gone to all of the trouble of covering it up, to keep it away from the press and the public."In more recent years, additional information has come forward. Captain James F. Duesler, who was one of several military officers at Godman, was retired and living in England. In 1997, he stated that he and several other officers actually saw the gigantic UFO hovering over Godman field that day. Duesler, who was a pilot and crash investigator, stated, "the UFO was a strange gray-looking object, which looked like a rotating inverted ice cream cone." Shortly after the crash, Duesler visited the site, and made these observations, "The wings and tail section had broken off on impact with the ground and were a short distance from the plane, he recalled. There was no damage to the surrounding trees and it was obvious that there had been no forward or sideways motion when the plane had come down. It just appeared to have "belly flopped" into the clearing. There was very little damaged to the fuselage, which was in one piece, and no signs of blood whatsoever in the cockpit. There was no scratching on the body of the fuselage to indicate any forward movement and the propeller blade bore no telltale scratch marks to show it had been rotating at the time of impact, and one blade had been embedded into the ground. The damage pattern was not consistent with an aircraft of this type crashing at high speed into the ground. Because of the large engine in the nose of the plane, it would come down nose first and hit the ground at an angle. Even if it had managed to glide in, it would have cut a swath through the trees and a channel into the ground. None of these signs were present. All indications were that it had just belly flopped into the clearing. I must admit, I found this very strange." A man sent a written report to MUFON about his paranormal experience in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. The case is currently under investigation by the Mutual UFO Network. The man reported that he was driving a tractor and trailer truck in south Pennsylvania when he spotted a strange object hovered above the mountain. On the time he spotted the UFO, he heard other truckers on CB talking about what he just saw. He thought the objet was far from him but still very visible. So, he concluded that the object was very huge. He said that the object was near to the Allegheny Tunnel but he was not sure of the exact location. The witness managed to take picture of the UFO from inside his truck. His picture shows a cigar-shaped object. However, editor of MUFON Journal Roger Marsh noted that the UFO might have wings that can't be viewed clearly because of the angle. Marsh is a resident near the place of the incident. Days prior to the incident, there was a report about two glowing disc-shape objects having a white colour that were also photographed from a pub in Bracknell, UK. I wrote a few days ago about another suspected abductee I called "Douglas." I have 2 further thoughts on that I want to share...Firstly, that this particular set of thoughts/fantasies/suspicions combined with very little clear memory would be the perfect example of the type of claim I would not expect to be believed. I have strong emotions, and some thoughts about the matter that just never seemed to go away, but anyone who winces over that last post is absolutely forgiven. I really am not sure enough about this until and unless I have more conscious memories of meetings with Douglas. I know I saw him that one time at the diner for sure, but anything before or after that that is still too fuzzy.I included it in my narrative because I suspect this type of thing may happen far more than is reported, even with alien abduction researchers. Because it feels so ridiculous! Its embarrassing to admit you have a total and illogical obsession for another person in this way, and many may not even realize its connected to alien abductions. Its so couched in "dreams" and thoughts. But Ive had enough clear conscious memories to be convinced that romantic set-ups by the aliens happen. The question in my case is... what happens if a set-up goes wrong? Is the idea dropped or does a Plan B get enacted? Perhaps my experience gives a clue.Secondly, I wonder about the timing of Dougs disappearing, perhaps even dying, and the line Diana delivered to me the same year. 1990. I dont remember exactly WHEN in 1990 but the telepathic message I believe was April, perhaps May. If Diana spoke of Douglas and I as "the parents of the future leaders of the world" BEFORE that (in the present tense), then it makes sense. But did she say this before something went wrong-- or after? My feeling is that it was February or March of 1990, but I cant find an exact date. ZAMBOANGA CITY: An unidentified flying object was sighted hovering over a quiet village in Zamboanga City.
The object, which appeared metallic, was spotted in the remote village of Lumbangan, about 10 kilometers east of Zamboanga.
A witness claimed to have a photograph of the UFO hovering above a hill in the village. "I was taking pictures of the people digging for scrap and did not notice the flying object until I browsed the photographs from my laptop computer four days later."
"I was aghast at the picture and could not believe it. Of the three frames of photographs taken in the same site, the flying object appeared only on the second frame. It was not on the first frame and gone on the third," he said.
He said the object resembled a dark metallic disc with what appeared to be a dome on its top and it emitted neither sounds nor smoke. It was unknown if there were other witnesses, but he said some 70 people were in the garbage dump at the time the UFO hovered behind them.
"It was past 10 in the morning and I am sure I heard no sound of aircraft in the village. The UFO was behind just up there," he said.
The witness reported the sighting to an international scientific research organization in the United States, the UFO Evidence, and sent a copy of the photograph.
