UFO SIGHTING IN WHITE BEAR LAKE, MINNESOTA ON NOVEMBER 2ND 2013 - A GROUP OF 6 TO 8 RED/ORANGE OBJECTS HOVERED IN FORMATION THEN DISAPPEARED
On 11/2/2013 I was driving home after hunting, shortly after dark. I turned south onto Bellaire Ave in White Bear Lake MN towards the road I live on. I noticed what kind of looked like street lights that were in a big dipper-like formation, I couldn't exactly tell where they were as I drove down this road but it looked strange to me because they weren't moving or flashing like most objects in the air. I turned left onto my street, Orchard Lane, and at this point I could see these objects in the horizon were a ways to the south and not just over Bellaire Ave. A group of 6 to 8 objects hovered in formation. At this point I saw a plane flying to the east from the general direction of the objects. I felt these may be ufo's as they reminded me of what I have seen in many documentaries. I drove 2 blocks to my home, grabbed my wife and camera and headed into my back yard to get some pictures and video. We could only see a portion of the objects and took a few pictures and a little bit of video that did not turn out very well. The pictures are ok but we didn't use a tripod so they are a little fuzzy. After 3 minutes the objects started to slowly fade to darkness, not all at the same time. We drove over to Bellaire Avenue to see if we could see anything else but everything was gone.

In the first half of the program, George Knapp was joined by Dr. John Alexander, who discussed his recent trips to West Africa and Mongolia where he met shamans and observed voodoo rituals. He described voodoo more as a "way of life," rather than an organized religion, in these regions of the world. To that end, he noted that practitioners seek advice from voodoo priests on a variety of issues including medical insights as well as general life counseling. Alexander dismissed the Western characterization of the religion as sinister and argued that "the vast majority of the voodoo ceremonies are based on positive outcomes for the community."
Over the course of his appearance, Alexander detailed a number of voodoo rituals that he witnessed during his expedition, such as a fire ceremony which he described as amazing. Unlike the simple practice of briskly walking across red hot coals, he said, this ceremony featured participants who performed stunning feats like remaining unscathed while holding flaming logs as well as biting pieces of burning wood and safely keeping the fiery remnant in their mouth for over a minute. According to Alexander, knowledge of voodoo wisdom, such as how to perform these practices, is a closely guarded secret. The secrecy is so strict, he said, that while the head voodoo priest may be known to his village, the identities of his students remains a mystery until the priest reveals his successor shortly before his death.
In the latter half, author Bill Birnes talked about his role on the defunct TV series UFO Hunters and what it's like to investigate the compelling and sometimes chilling evidence of UFO phenomena. He explained that the program differed from previous paranormal television shows because it aimed to examine all the possible explanations for key UFO events rather than simply highlighting a case and eschewing an investigation. Birnes recalled various 'behind the scenes' machinations which occurred during the creation of the program, including being told that "UFOs don't sell" by a TV executive and a legal battle over the name "UFO Hunters," which briefly saw two competing shows using the same title.
"If you think you're coming into a community and people are welcoming you with open arms, because you are investigating UFOs, sometimes it's exactly the opposite," he said about the challenges of producing UFO Hunters. He illustrated this point by noting difficulties they encountered while making the Maury Island episode of the show. In the early planning stages, Birnes said, they were rebuffed by angry investigators who closely guarded their own research and accused the program of trying to usurp their work. Additionally, during the on location taping the show, an irate resident of the area approached them, while wielding a handgun, and insisted that they leave the area. Although the crew convinced the man that they had the proper paperwork to film and he departed, Birnes recalled, "next thing you know, we're hearing gunshots and somebody says, 'this guy's shooting at us!'"

By Jerry Blackburn1-27-2012 FRIENDS OF LOU, I'm sorry to have to tell you that Lou died of cancer this afternoon at 4:55 PM CST in Morrilton, Arkansas at the River Chase Rehabilitation and Care Center where he had been under hospice care since early September. He died peacefully, was not in pain, and was surrounded by a small group of friends. A memorial service is tentatively planned for 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, at the Harris Funeral Home in Morrilton, AR. Confirmation of the date and time will be in an obituary to be posted in a day or two on the Harris Funeral Home website at www.harrisfuneralhomes.net. If I can provide additional information, please let me know.If you cannot attend Lou's memorial service, but would like to send me a short statement to be read at the service about how you knew and/or will remember Lou, I will be glad to do that for you. We may also include these statements in a program to remember Lou this April at the Ozark UFO Conference in Eureka Springs. This UFO tease has been out on the web for a little over a year. Generally I shy away from Roswell discussions due to the muddied water effect that has accumulated over the past decade rendering any understanding of the case as a gross exercise in futility that leads to an unhealthy trip towards the realm of obsession.
Tony Bragalia has posted on Kevin Randle's blog, "A Different Prospective", an article stating that slides purported to be that of extraterrestrial aliens will be unveiled in Mexico City on May 5, 2015. The slides supposedly will show humanoid bodies that were recovered from a crashed UFO near Roswell back in 1947. The Roswell case is well known so I'll not go into any details.
Tony is of the opinion that the slides have a definite link to Roswell. He provides background as to how the slides surfaced...that in itself is interesting and raises some questions concerning authenticity. The slides are said to have been produced from vintage 1947 Kodak film...this has also raised numerous questions concerning authenticity.
As far as my take on this issue, I'll await the big unveiling later in May. I see no need to render an opinion based on something that I've not seen. That's not to mean that others have withheld their opinions and speculations as a quick look at the comment sections on Randle's blog and Rich Reynold's "UFO Conjectures" shows a varied range of such.
The only questions that I have is why Mexico City was chosen? What's the significance of this venue? Roswell is a slice of Americana folklore and it appears to be like everything else...out sourced to a foreign landscape.
Update: Reading my emails, Brit, Christopher Allan, pretty much nails it...the slides must definitively show that the photos were taken during the first week of July 1947, otherwise it proves nothing.
Reading the comment section of Kevin Randle's blog, it appears that the best that can be said of the slides is that they where imaged using 1947 Kodak stock. It is extremely doubtful that the slides will be pinpointed to a specific date in 1947. The theory being proffered by the slide proponents is that most people would have used up the film within weeks or months after purchase...I've seen no supporting statistics to bear this out.
