On May 23, 1971 at about 12:30 P M, one of the most convincing photographs of a UFO was taken by Nagora, a Munich musician. Nagora, along with his wife, were vacationing near St. Lorenzen, Styria, Austria.
After finding a suitable place to park his car, Nagora left his wife inside the vehicle while he scouted the general area before the two of them ventured out. Suddenly, he heard a "whizzing" sound coming from above. Looking up, he could clearly see a shining, silver disc which was between him and the cloud plane. The object was moving in a zig-zag pattern. He ran back to his car, told his wife what he had seen, and grabbed his camera.
Pointing his Agfa-Click camera at the object, he took a full roll of 12 exposures, capturing several stunning images. Now out of film, Nagora could see the object come even closer, and then shoot straight up, disappearing through the clouds.
After the approximately 5 minute sighting and film taking session, Nagora took his film back to Munich. UFO researcher Engineer Adolf Geigenthaler heard about the photographs, and began an investigation into the sighting. ABSTRACT: This paper presents an analysis of 11 consecutive color photographs and related eyewitness testimony of an alleged unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP) taken over at least a 10 minute period beginning at about 12:30 p.m. on May 23, 1971, about 30 miles south-southwest of Graz, Austria, by Mr. Rudi Nagora, 25. Details of the camera, lens, film characteristics, and other relevant optical and historical details are presented. Each frame shows a dark and/or "metallic" object in the daytime sky. Its flight path was determined on several adjacent frames by overlapping relatively unchanging cloud and fixed background details. No evidence of pixel distortion is found surrounding any image of the object as might be produced by radiated heat, nor is there evidence of double exposure, a suspension thread above the UAP images, or mismatch of pixel dimensions within the UAP image or outside it. There is evidence of finite object motion blur in some frames where stationary background detail is in focus. A geometric composite analysis of all images supports the view that the UAP's three-dimensional form is not circular in platform but rather a blunt-cornered isosceles triangle with flat bottom and convex upper surface. The object remains unidentified at this time.

In the summer of 2009 my husband and I went camping in the Unicoi State Park, GA. One morning, around 4am, I woke up to go the the restroom. There was a building near the campsites that provided restroom and shower facilities. It was pitch black outside, except for the light from my lantern and the lights from the building. I went in, did my thing, and as I started to leave to walk back to my tent, I stopped walking - I had a feeling someone behind me. I turned around and I saw three figures standing in the woods behind the building, near another campsite on the hill in the back. They didn't seem to be doing anything but standing there. I thought it could have been the people from the campground on the hill, but why would they just be standing in the middle of the woods at 4am for no apparent reason?
When one of them turned and looked at me, I realized they weren't human. For one thing, the arms were too long and the bodies were too thin. Their skin had a pale glossy look, and they had a very large cranium with lumps all over the top of the scalp. They had huge black eyes that seemed to pierce right through me. I stand 5'3" tall, and they looked about one or two inches shorter than me. The one that saw me started to inch toward me, but I bolted back to my tent. When my husband asked me what was wrong, all I could say was "There are f**king aliens back there!" When he finally calmed me down, he had me stay in the tent while he went to go see what it was. He found nothing. I don't know if I had any missing time or not. It was around 5am when I was finally calm enough to leave the tent, with my husband. We had a cigarette and talked about my sighting. Then around 6am we got a fire going and cooked breakfast. That's really all I remember from that morning.
The next night he said he saw a shadowy figure move outside. He didn't hear any footsteps. He looked up and saw the top cover on the tent move, as if someone pulled it aside to look in at us from above. When we woke up again later that night, the blankets on his side of the tent were wet - it started raining that night. My side was dry for the most part. I can't remember exactly which campsite we used, but I'm pretty sure it was lot #60. It was located directly across from the parking lot. I didn't see any signs of a craft nearby, but I did see the creatures. I know what I saw was real, as I was wide awake when I saw them.

I made some new friends and lined up some prospective guests for Uncanny Radio.There was a "meet and mingle" dinner on Saturday night in what used to be an underground speakeasy, and there were tours of the local tunnels and the haunted woods (both of which I was too busy to attend; but I live here and will get to go some other time).Friday was pretty chaotic, as those of us working and/or helping out tried to deal with mechanical gremlins and the disruption of having to hold the events in the cleared-out Mysteries Museum, rather than the planned theater. (Which cancelled at the last moment.) Those obstacles made things tricky, but by the next day, Saturday, things adjusted and the schedule ran more smoothly. Several attendees, Russ and Diana in particular, came through big-time in helping solve the video/display problems. (Thanks!)The whole event seemed very well attended to me. The lecture room was extremely busy, and sported a crowd of 30 to 60 (or more) at every event. The Cafe, with food, sovenirs, and signing tables, also seemed packed much of the time.I spoke to some fans of Uncanny Radio, but didnt sell any books -- probably because I was too darn busy running the lecture room. Im sure I would have done better, too, if the book Im doing with Nick Redfern (and friends) hadnt gotten hung up in producton. Its called "Uncanny Encounters: Roswell". Look for it soon.People seemed happy, despite the initial chaos, and numerous attendees expressed to me their desire to do it again next year. Certainly I hope to do it again. With luck, Mary and the SciFi Cafe did well enough to justify another year. As long as they didnt run themselves into debt the way the "It Came from Lake Michigan" film festival did, they should be fine.Next step is to figure out a plan for mastering and releasing DVDs of the conference. Should we release the "raw" footage of the whole thing, or try to edit it down into highlights? Right now, noe of us are sure.
