The station is owned by the Australian Government Meteorological Organization and it was her station recorded a temperature anomaly at Dome Argus in Antarkide.

* May 21, 2009, Montreal: 30 claimed photos of UFOs described to OVNI-Alerte, but not received by them yet
* May 21, 2009, Montreal: Photos of chemtrails supposedly show a UFO making them (no photos available yet)
* May 24, 2009, Kahnawake, 9:30 pm: White light going east stopped overhead. Descended, got closer, making no noise, then sped off east again and vanished within 5 seconds
* May 27, 2009, Magog, 2:30 am: Bright light in east, not moving during long period of observation. Francois Bourbeau explained this as Jupiter.
* May 28, 2009, Escoumins, 8:45 pm: A purple boomerang-shaped object was seen by two witnesses for five minutes.
* June 1, 2009, St-Marc-en-Richelieu, 3:55 am: Another stationary bright light observed, for one hour.
* June 4, 2009, Sainte-Julie, 9:45 pm: Bright white light far ahead of driver, going south at high speed (the light not the car). Vanished in 5 seconds, but witness insisted it was not a shooting star.
* June 4, 2009, Sorel-Tracy, 9:45 pm: At the exact same time, a brilliant green light appeared to some witnesses, vanishing quickly. These two cases sound like bolides (fireballs).
* June 5, 2009, Saint-Constant, evening: An object described as "red/black in center" with "fire all around" was seen in the north.
That's ten sightings in about two weeks, enough to qualify as a flap. Only a few seem unusual, and only one (Escoumins) could benefit from an in-depth investigation. If the rate of Quebec reports keeps up, they would get about 250 reports this year - a definite record.

I was talking to a good friend in the Big Apple about Recent UFO Sightings in the city. I had to ask him to send me an email of the incident, so I could put it up on this site. Enjoy. It was just last week on a Tuesday that I was up on the roof of my apartment complex having a smoke. I have to do that because the building is smoke free and it was freezing outside. I was about to head back inside when I saw floating light in the sky. I thought at first that it was just a plan, but it just had one light. Most planes have lights on each end of the wing and they're red. This was just one clear light. I was watching it go through the sky for a few minutes and than it started get erratic in movement. Instead of just going in a straight line as it went across the sky it was jumping, moving up in down in sharp motions. Nothing that a plane is possible of. I was watching with amazement as it was doing these unbelievable movements in the nights sky. I ran downstairs to my apartment to grab my digital camera to take a picture. When I got back to the roof it was gone. Before I saw this, I was always skeptical of UFOs and the people that report them. But I was proven wrong and I can't even prove it to other people. Turns out, someone (a he, not a she, as Vxxxx had assumed) in central Wisconsin had reported seeing a brightly-colored star-like object hovering in the sky a couple weeks ago. Nothing so special about that, but he also reported that after the object disappeared he grew fatigued and started to shake. He went to bed and called in sick from work the next day, so... naturally, Vxxxx is thinking: physical effects>missing time>"abduction!"
Well, I wasn't going to write back to Vxxxx and say Sorry, I'd love to take on this case, but I'm just about to leave for a week, was I? They'd assign the case to someone else and I'd lose out on all the fame and fortune. So I put off my packing for a few hours and called the witness tonight to begin my investigation...

The conversation wasn't very gripping to begin with. The guy had seen something in the night sky that seemed to be a star or planet, except that it was flashing and pulsing with multi-colored light. He was clearly fascinated and confused by the object, and had a very strong feeling that it didn't belong in the sky, and yet he went inside to watch the news on TV. He can't remember why. He kept checking the object in the sky during commercials and it never moved or changed appearance. Then he called his girlfriend and told her about the object in the sky. Then he checked it again and it was gone.
And that's where the story gets weird... Shortly after the object disappeared he grew completely fatigued and started to shake. It hit him so hard that he couldn't even think about what he was doing; he just knew he had to get to bed NOW. He went to bed and crashed, and the next day he couldn't get out of bed until 11 am, nearly 14 hours later. He called in sick and felt awful all day, then twenty-four hours later he felt fine again.
Here's creepy thing #1 about what he told me: He said the whole thing feels like a dream that's slowly fading from his memory, and yet his girlfriend remembers him calling to tell her about the strange object in the sky. Here's creepy thing #2: He reported that the sighting took place on November 21, but when he contacted the HR department at work today to confirm the date he had called in sick, they told him it was actually October 31. "He was off by three weeks!"

by Bill ChalkerAn ASIO (Australian Security and Intelligence Organisation - Australia's domestic spy service) file exists on its monitoring of early UFO research groups. The ASIO file has been known about for quite some time and it has been up on the National Archives of Australia web site as a viewable file since at least early 2006.What it shows is that the UFO community was targeted like a whole lot of other diverse communities, all because of largely innocent flirtations with matters that fell within the paranoia of intelligence organisations. It didn't take much to fall within this net, and very rarely did it have anything to do with the UFO phenomenon itself.Most prominently in the ASIO file the Queensland Flying Saucer Research Bureau was the subject of monitoring and intrusion, seemingly because some members of the group took an interest in Russian investigations of the 1908 Tunguska event that suggested it may have been caused by a spacecraft. The group's president Stan Seers described the bizarre situation that evolved from ASIO's attention in his memoir "UFOS - THE CASE FOR SCIENTIFIC MYOPIA" (1983). By "pink tendencies" Stone was suggesting communist tendencies. I suspect that Stone was still harboring some ill will with the late 1956 UFOIC break away from AFSRS and VFSRS 1957 departure from the AFSRS national vision agenda.Stone may have thought he was being patriotic in passing on his "innuendo" to the RAAF, or it was inspired by negativity that flowed when the NSW branch of his group decided to separate from the SA group and operate as an independent group namely the Sydney based UFOIC. The difficulty with such slight "rumours" and "innuendos" is that they had the potential to feed the paranoia of the era. The ASIO file with exceptions can be accessed via the Australia National Archives on line. Ironically Stone even asked the RAAF to do security checks on some of his own SA AFSRS members. The RAAF declined to assist him. What RAAF/ASIO did "sub rosa" is not clear, if anything.In the case of UFOIC I have no direct evidence of infilitration. Indeed Stone's circa 1960 missive came at the end of the intense period of "red" inspired surveillance. Certainly a few years earlier it didn't take much to come under ASIO's "red" or "pink" watch, and in that context Stone's letter was very unsound and extremely unhelpful to the cause of open ufology. Fortunately it seems it had little impact, although full access to the ASIO file in question is still denied.In those days it didn't take much to be tarnished with this label, or worse still the "red" connection. Anyone with pacifist, intellectual or radical thoughts seemed to come under suspicion. Andrew Tomas worked closely with Fred Stone in organizing the remanents of the Sydney based Australian Flying Saucer Bureau into a NSW branch of the AFSRS during late 1955. Tomas, a "white Russian" may have been the focus of the Stone "rumour." It did not seem to reflect any substantial realities.I brought this "pink tendencies" claim by Stone to the attention of an early UFOIC member who knew all the early key UFOIC and AFSRS (NSW branch) people. The member responded:"Concerning Fred Stone's comment in his letter to the RAAF - I am shocked!...that was the first time I had ever heard of such a suggestion (about "pink tendencies").I suggest also that Mr. Stone's remarks were made in consideration of the rift which had occurred with the Sydney group, and they were uncalled for and completely out of place."I am well aware of the paranoia that existed during those years, but I do believe that any suspicion of the Victorian and Sydney groups by any individual, or body, could not have been further from the reality. The "pink" labeling was inappropriate. Here were some basically good people from a broad range of backgrounds, united in a fascination for the UFO/flying saucer mystery. ASIO's 1950s surveillance was in part informed by the 1921 Pitt-Rivers "Memorandum on the Revolutionary Movement in Australia" with is bizarrely loaded lexicon of such strange concepts as "ALIEN ADULTERATION" and "REVOLUTIONARY INCUBUS". "THE RED MENACE" mentality led to an extraordinarily skewed view of pacifist, liberal or alternative activism in Australia and indeed elsewhere in western countries. Fiona Capp indicates, "ASIO ESTIMATED THAT THERE WERE OVER 500 CLUBS, SOCIETIES, COMMITTEES, COUNCILS, ASSOCIATIONS, MOVEMENTS, UNIONS, FEDERATIONS, LEAGUES, CONVENTIONS, FORUMS AND FELLOWSHIPS THAT WERE 'MORE OR LESS PENETRATED, INFLUENCED OR DOMINATED BY COMMUNISTS'. SUCH WAS ASIO'S VAGUE DEFINITION THAT ANY COMMUNITY-BASED GROUP WAS LIKELY TO BE SUSPECT AND ANY LIBERAL OR PROGRESSIVE PHILOSOPHY WAS TREATED AS A VEHICLE FOR COMMUNIST IDEOLOGY."Ufologists Defiled? The 1950s was the high point of McCarthyism in the Australia particularly with the Petrov affair. Unfortunately, even if you were a "white Russian" (such as Andrew Tomas), and clearly not sympathetic to communism, the mentality of the era meant one was probably watched. Andrew Tomas was passionate about Shambhala inspired "peace doctrine", most evident in his "PLANETARY DOCTRINE" (1935) He was still circulating similar things in the 1950s. Pacifists of any persuasion would have got attention. It seemed that logic sometimes was not high on the agenda with our intelligence groups then, paranoia certainly was. Things have changed but sometimes, even now, you have to wonder. The new book by Clive Hamilton & Sarah Maddison called "SILENCING DISSENT - HOW THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT IS CONTROLLING PUBLIC OPINION AND STIFLING DEBATE" gives cause to reflect on the strong sense of historically sustained deja-vu. Different times, different suspects?Despite the dubious basis of Stone's "pink" suggestions I would be surprised if ASIO did ignore UFOIC given the type of "flags" they were looking for, particularly during the 1950s. Ignoring logic and reality for the moment (which is what ASIO seemed to do some of the time, if "Writers Defiled" is anything to go by), the linkage between Edgar Jarrold and Andrew Tomas could have been one "flag". Jarrold already had a wartime security file on himself, with his wartime internment on the Isle of Man under the assumed name of Roy Peter Simpson. Upon his return to Australia he seems to have slipped under the radar except for his "novel" emergence in 1950 as a mystery writer, and then by 1953 as director of Australia's first public flying saucer group. Andrew Tomas met him in January 1954 as Jarrold was coming under direct attention of government over his persistent enquiries on the Drury UFO film (taken in Papua New Guinea in 1953). Tomas showed Jarrold his 1935 book "THE PLANETARY DOCTRINE", written under his Russian name A. Boncza-Tomaszewski (Bon-tcha Toma-shevski), which had been published in Shanghai China. He focused Jarrold's attention on the passage: "Travellers and explorers often notice in the heights of the Himalayas strange shiny objects or creatures soaring high above the mountain crests, which are an eternal puzzle to Europeans. Whether these mysterious objects are vehicles belonging to supermen we dare not assert, though such an explanation is quite plausible. Cannot the reader believe that by such means, utilising unknown energies, communication is maintained from planet to planet...?"Jarrold was moving into the centre of the Australian government's uneasy embrace with the saucer problem. In mid 1954 the Minister for Air William McMahon (a future Prime Minister) invited him to Melbourne for a meeting with RAAF on flying saucers.Andrew Tomas had made a request under the "ALIENS ACT 1947" for a name change from his Russian one in 1951 which was originally denied, but by 1954 he was using the name Andrew Tomas. It is ironic or something else to have this "Application by an alien for written consent to change surname", when one considers the following comment by Andrew at the end of an article he wrote for the last issue of Jarrold's Australian Flying Magazine, "ARE YOU READY FOR A PLANETARY CRASH?", pg. 7 February 1955: "IN THE CIRCLES OF THE DULY INITIATED BRETHERN OF SPACE, FANTASTIC STORIES ARE TOLD OF SAUCERS, MESSAGES FROM SPACE AND COSMIC DECREES. PERHAPS I COULD TELL YOU A SCIENCE FICTION STORY FROM MY LIFE HOW A SAUCER ZOOMED OVER THE NATIONAL PARK IN SYDNEY TO SAY "HELLO" TO AN INCARNATED SPACEMAN. BUT WHO WOULD BELIEVE IT? IN THESE DAYS OF SUSPICION AND WITCHHUNTS IT IS BETTER TO KEEP ONE'S MOUTH SHUT. FRANKLY, I AM NOT TOO ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT A PSYCHIATRIC TEST EITHER. His widow Heather sent me Andrew's "SIGNS, STARS AND SEERS - AN EXPERIMENT IN HISTORICAL PREDICTION"," a 48 page booklet published in Sydney in 1956. Therein he refers to warning Hitler, Mussolini & Hirohito through their embassies in China in 1935 (presumably via a copy of his "Planetary Doctrine" book) and being met "with hostility and ridicule, yet 10 years later the militarists had to sign humiliating treaties." Further he refers in the 1956 booklet forward to approaching "a responsible Soviet diplomat" 4 months after the defeat of Japan "with a project to establish friendly cultural relations with the USA and the British Commonwealth, long before the 'Cold War'. Though the offer was not accepted, the writer's mission on behalf of World Peace was fulfilled." The booklet includes the following "IF THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENTS IGNORE THIS LAST WARNING, MOTIVATED BY A DESIRE TO SAVE THIS PLANET FROM DESTRUCTION AND MANKIND FROM SELF-ANNIHILATION, THEY WILL HAVE TO BEAR ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR OPPOSING THE COSMIC LAW OF UNITY." This theme was again revisited in March 1958, when Andrew, as secretary and organiser of the International Organising Committee of the Planetary Pact, sent a draft of the Pact to "top news agencies of the world." He would revisit this theme in his book "SHAMBHALA: OASIS OF LIGHT" (1977).These and other matters could well have been misunderstood by the likes of ASIO? If the surveillance of the Queensland group QFSRB was any guide (see the primary profile document dated August 1959), then if UFOIC came under similar attention its committee would have been similarly profiled and rated NT ("No threat"?), "U/I" (Under investigation"?) or simply commented upon. Any such documentation or surveillance would have been as seemingly pointless as the monitoring of the QFSRB group and the hundreds of other diverse groups activities around Australia.Ufologists defiled? They were like so many other people with diverse interests simply traveling through the distorted lens of a "sub rosa" perspective, defiled by the misplaced paranoia of the times.

I was in a decision in North London, an area called Bend over End. It was on 5:00 a.m. I was down a subdued parking area to the side of a roadblock of flats (apartments). I glanced up at the channel, 100 yards comatose, for no shut up shop court case.
I saw, in the sky, cherished very, very step by step, and entirely weakness watertight, a extraordinary waxen turf, completely as you describe all the rage. I was mesmerized, by the way it inched in a diminish line a quick stash away prematurely vanishing in amongst particular plants.
I noticed it had lights separation on it, not definite, mega irregular lights. To the same extent struck me at that moment in time was, oh. This can't be a helicopter. Helicopter blades whizz on, they're very rowdy and they go horizontally. My distinct problem is I get pleasure from a clear in my clear link as to completely where on this thing the lights were. Sometimes I search my thought to try and understand anew completely where the lights were - separation on the inclusive body? Leaving on moral the front? I presume moral the boldness.
All I admit is they were too feline and in the off-center harmony.
So, I stared at this thing for 30 seconds. After that it passed and I dent. Oh. I wonder what that was. After that, as I stood reflecting, to my catch napping, complementary two of them, very, very step by step, static entirely intimate, one after the other, following the painstaking line of the first, each vanishing into the dreadfully plants.

It's 1:30am as I write this and I don't know what this was. I started to watch in the sky, but I can tell you, it wasn't a plane or anything I have ever seen in my life with my own eyes. I came home around 11:30pm with my girlfriend. My office, 2nd bedroom has a great view looking from south to almost north exposure of the sky with only 2 buildings that somewhat block out a bit of the view more to almost dead south, but still you a great wide view of the night sky. But tonight was different than any other night since I have moved here in the last year or so. When we came home I noticed this type of pulsating light in the sky at a very low angle to the earth due west (looking straight out from our balcony), I would say perhaps at like 30 degrees or so. Now, I can tell you I work from home and I am looking at the sky every night since I have the nightshift and I can tell you that I have seen the movement of the moon and stars, planes lining up for their landings since I'm not that far from the airport. I see helicopters all the time and I know enough to know that this light was something unordinary to me. I got my girlfriend to start to take notice of it for she doesn't really believe in UFOs coming to see us, but she believes in the possibility of them existing. Where I believe it for there is too much proof once you dig into the subject enough, there is too much evidence that proves compared to disproving it. But we kept comparing this light's movement (or lack there of) to the movement of the other stars for the course of a little over a hour.This light from the time I came home that was flashing, not flickering and at times its lights would strobe in almost a Morse code type pattern, I couldn't tell if it was spinning but I went to my other room to get a monocular I have that's good to about I'd say 2000 meters and what I saw was just this tremendous white light with a red and blue light strobing. From around 11:30pm to about 1:10ish this light stayed in the same position while planes would fly by. I thought it might be Venus, but I am not versed with knowing if it could of been a planet for it just was so bright. So as me and my girlfriend compared it with the other stars, we could tell in the timeframe mentioned that the 'other' stars only slightly moved, while this light stayed in the same spot in the sky. Then around, I'd say the last 13 minutes or so of watching this for the last hour or so this light started to move diagonally in a northwest direction and started to get fainter and fainter until it was not visible anymore in about the last 10 minutes. Now here is the clincher for me, those other stars I was comparing this flashing/strobing/Morse coding stars movement to, were still in generally the same spots from my view and I made sure not to move and stay seated and stay still and just watch this while my girlfriend would casually take a look too, and those same other stars have moved only slightly from my view now and are still visible and are still there as I write this. That whatever it was, is now gone, or rather it took off. I believe that this might be either something in NEO that the Canadian Gov't hasn't told us, maybe it was Venus, maybe its something from the USA's weaponization space program, maybe it was the ISS, but more than anything, I feel very strongly that it was an UFO for the simple reason as I said before, I work from home and since its the cold season night comes quicker and my afternoon/evening/morning shift I see the sky every night and I don't ever remember seeing something as weird as this. I can tell you its not like anything I have seen that would be comparable to a plane's movements or a helicopters just hovering, but obviously its for privileged ones to know. Either way, after years of trying to convince her to realize that they do exist after this experience tonight she can honestly say with me we say something that did not fit with what we know about what we have been taught by the mainstream about what's in the sky. If we did indeed maybe see something that is typical, please let us know. For again, it was a very interesting pulsating light, low on the horizon looking west. Thanks for your time. Now this is one of the wildest UFO stories ever. Centering the Winchester, Hampshire, England, Adrian Hicks municipal, with the name that should be seen in the broad daylight busy street walking around a woman who guest claims. He finds even this video clip that saw her, and even took the photos, such as the one can be suspected. It is one of these stories, you can just throw out the window because it sounds like the bath with water so absurd. The report of a UFO, extraterrestrial investigations, for reasons of clarity, we can track how the story here to see how it progresses and hopefully with the correct information in the highlights, qualifications or the disk, what ideas on foot.
This story was my attention by well-known British cerealogist Colin Andrews, who is best known for his study of the phenomenon of the enigmatic crop circle. I got a good jab, Colin when he sends me these stories I'm familiar with the cousins there, which now are good, and then on top of the Lark. Colin seems to believe that the United States Census Bureau, Councillor of the city, so we'll see what the disorder of the whole of this tree.

V/H/S 2 Review
Off the back of the sometimes awesome, sometimes average V/H/S comes V/H/S 2. A brand new bunch of horror shorts that are on the whole, better than their predecessor with a better framing story around the short films. Everyone remembers the anthology films of the past and kudos to the people behind the V/H/S series for bringing this format back into view.
The film starts with a framing story of two private investigators working on a missing student case. The P.I's break into the students house and they find a stack of VHS tapes, which one of them starts to watch as the other searches the house.
The short films inside of the framing story are:"Clinical Trials" directed by Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett - A man (Adam Wingard) gets a robotic eye and starts seeing ghosts."A Ride In The Park" directed by Gregg Hale and Eduardo Sanchez - A story about a zombie apocalypse, from the point of view of the zombie."Safe Haven" directed by Gareth Evans and Timo Tjahjanto- A documentary crew goes into a cult in the Indonesian jungle."Alien Abduction Slumber Party" directed by Jason Eisner - Kids at a slumber party encounter aliens.
All of the stories are entertaining and very clever with the ingenuity in incorporating the found footage angle. However for a horror feature none of the shorts are particularly scary or creepy. The exception is Safe Haven which is one of the scariest short films I have seen. A truly creepy premise, that goes from creepy to scary and has plenty of WTF moments thrown in. Evans and Tjahjanto do a great job with this and it is easily the best segment of the lot. With an ending as disturbing as it is strange.
The other segments vary in effectiveness. Wingard and Barrett's ghost story is good with plenty of jump scares but gives us nothing particularly new. A Ride In The Park was an interesting angle on the zombie film and was probably the least scary of the segments but it was one of the more clever ones. Alien Abduction Slumber Party delivers on its title and it is also the funniest segment of the lot with plenty of laughs coming early but they disappear when the Aliens start turning up.
Glad to say that all of the segments are directed very well and the effects, whether they are practical or otherwise, are fantastic. As a whole V/H/S 2 is better than V/H/S which is a good start, the framing story has more of a creep factor and its ending is just as horrific as any of the stories. One thing that can be said is that all of the stories are very entertaining, just lacking in the scares department. However ultimately for a film that comes with such a horror pedigree this is not a good thing. I'd like to see V/H/S become a sizable franchise - the format is ripe for it - but the stories need to be better and perhaps the vetting processes needs to be tighter as I am sure that most horror fans would agree that three great, perhaps slightly longer stories are better than four good ones.
V/H/S 2 is a good collection of horror tales but judging it as an entire film, it is too uneven to be considered a classic which it could have been.
